Hoy Una a Una ha aparcado las bicicletas y se ha echado al monte para subir a Peña Salón (Ponga) y recoger el belén de cumbres que en navidades habíamos dejado allí.
Ruta circular a pie: Puente La Huera – Casielles – Peña Salón – Puente La Huera (15/2/2015)
Longitud: 17 km / Tiempo: 6 h / Desnivel positivo acumulado: 930 m
Ruter@s: Rosa, Noelia, Luz, Puri, Natalia, Marga, Mariajo, Piniella, Rubén, Javi, Eloy, Manu, Javier y Félix.
A las 9:00 de la mañana nos citábamos en Cangas de Onís y tras desayunar nos metemos en el desfiladero de Los Beyos admirando la ingente cantidad de agua que baja de las montañas y recelando de la gran cantidad de nieve que empezamos a ver por todas partes. A eso de las 10:00, bien pertrechados, nos ponemos en marcha y enfilamos la Ruta del Cartero. Ganamos altura a buen ritmo y apenas una hora después de haber empezado a caminar nos topamos con la nieve que ralentiza la marcha. Una lluvia fina, casi un spray, nos acompaña desde la salida aconsejándonos llevar el bastón en una mano y el paraguas en la otra.
Llegamos a Casielles y nos tomamos un descanso para comer algo e hidratarnos justo cuando la lluvia se intensifica y nos empuja a refugiarnos en el soportal de la capilla. Terminados los refrigerios la lluvia nos hace un guiño y de nuevo baja de intensidad permitiéndonos reanudar la marcha con ciertas garantías. De aquí en adelante el tren de Una a Una circulará impulsado por dos locomotoras de élite: Rosa y Piniella abren huella para que los demás transitemos a su rebufo. Aún así era fácil caer en trampas blancas que nos enterraban hasta la cintura. Cansadas pero con la moral alta ganamos el collado y poco después la cumbre de Peña Salón.
Nos detenemos el tiempo justo para hacer las fotos y recoger los belenes de cumbres que nos esperaban desde finales de diciembre. Comenzamos el descenso pisando las huellas de la subida y soportando el fuerte viento que azota la cresta cimera y que desaparece superado el collado. Y cuando ya nos mentalizábamos para afrontar el tedioso y largo zig-zag de bajada, lo impensable: vemos un piragüista bajar a toda velocidad sentado sobre la nieve remando con su vara de ablano al más puro estilo de Manu Busto. Y al punto la genialidad de Piniella es imitada por todas nosotras que nos lanzamos pendiente abajo.
Medio kilómetro de vértigo y diversión que nos ahorró un par de kilómetros de penitencia. Espectacular e irrepetible experiencia sólo explicable por la confluencia de dos fuerzas mayores del universo: Piniella y las Una a Una. Desde Casielles decidimos continuar por asfalto bajando más relajadamente los 5’5 kilómetros restantes hasta Puente la Huera, a donde llegamos alrededor de las 4 de la tarde tan cansadas como felices. Una divertida comida de hermandad remató este increíble domingo invernal y montañero en Una a Una lleno de experiencias tan seguro que para recordar como incierto que para repetir.
