Espectacular fin de semana en Xedré, en las tierras altas del Narcea, donde Azu y Ángel volvieron a hacer de grandes anfitriones preparándonos dos rutas bellísimas.
Sábado 28/5: brañas vaqueiras de Saldepuesto.
Después de un energético desayuno en Quei Funsiquín, pasadas las 10h. empezamos la ruta en un día despejado que invita a rodar. Salimos de Xedré hacia el Alto Portiella por una pista de tierra, en seguida ganamos altitud hasta el Calecho desde donde divisamos la ruta que Ángel nos tiene preparada.
Bajamos hacia Vidal y cuando estamos atravesando un hermoso fayéu nuestra rutera Isa tiene una avería y además las tormentas anunciadas nos pillan de repente. No somos conscientes de lo que llueve porque los árboles nos protegen. Continuamos hacia Gillón por caminos de barro y pasos trialeros cruzando el regueiro del río Gillón. Dejamos a nuestra derecha el imponente picu Caniellas y su vecina La Pena’l Xiplu.
Seguimos por un camino ascendente dirección a las Brañas de la Filtrosa girando a la izquierda por rampas muy pendientes, con la dificultad añadida de la lluvia que no cesa, hasta alcanzar la Sierra de Saldepuesto (1592m.). Sin detenernos en el camino cogemos una bajada de pista rápida hasta llegar a la antigua braña vaqueira de Saldepuesto, hoy en día tristemente abandonada. Aunque las vistas son hermosas hacia el valle de Leitariegos, no nos paramos porque tamos empapadas.
Arrancamos, de nuevo, por un camino técnico descendente con muchos regueros pasando por el Bosque de Canao hasta llegar a la ermita de la Magdalena donde cada 22 de julio se celebra una Romería.
El sol nos regala unos rayos de calor y en el pequeño pórtico de la ermita aprovechamos para descansar, comer un pincho e incluso secar la ropa. Después de esta pequeña parada, por buena pista tomamos el Cordal del Pando hasta llegar a la Portiel.a de Fulgaraxú, donde comenzamos a descender por un espectacular tramo con bosque de hayas y praderías con algún paso técnico que nos lleva a ganar vistas al pueblo de Caldevilla. Giramos a la derecha en camino ascendente hacia la capilla de San Chuis, pero sin llegar a ella tomamos un sendero por la Sierra de la Trapa que nos bajará hasta el mirador de las cascadas de Agua Blanca, en el que nos detenemos a observar el bello paisaje y hacernos fotos.
De aquí ya iniciamos una vuelta por pistas que nos llevará de vuelta a nuestro campamento base, pasando por Posada de Rengos, Los Eiros y San Martín de los Eiros, pueblo que fue deshabitado hacer unos años de debido la actividad minera.
46 km; 7 horas con paradas.
1800m. de desnivel acumulado.
Buena cena y proyección videos que montó Juan de diferentes salidas btt y travesía.
Domingo 29/5: Penona.
Hoy amanece despejado pero cuando estamos desayunando comienza a llover y nos retrasa la salida hasta las 11h. Decidimos entonces subir a la Penona acortando así la ruta de hoy. Aprovechamos que despeja y salimos hacia el Calecho de Riotorno por buenas pistas rodadoras pero sin dejar de subir. Después subimos hacia el Repetidor de Jalón, que da señal de luz y teléfono a todo el valle, por un camino bien pendiente con hierba que aumenta la dificultad. Al llegar al repetidor se despeja y podemos ver en frente el fayéu verde de Xedré. Tomamos unos frutos secos un trago de agua e iniciamos una bajada técnica por las piedras que pueden caer de los canchales, pero a la vez merecida y disfrutona.
Volvemos otra vez a subir con lluvia y camino pendiente hasta llegar a la braña de Xalón donde nos cobijamos en un cabaña. Decidimos hacer frente a la lluvia y el sol nos vuelve a regalar un momento felíz para observar desde el mismo Pico de la Penona a 1344m. el hermoso valle del Narce y el pueblo de Xedré. Hacemos unas fotos de grupo y enseguida amenazadas por la nube iniciamos un hermoso descenso, primero por tierra y luego por carretera para llegar al campamento base, ducha, rica comida y risas de los momentos ponen el broche a este fin de semana por el lejano oeste.
