Triatlón y solidaridad

Este fin de semana Una a Una estuvo en Gijón con motivo del Triatlón de la Mujer.

Varios equipos integrados por nuestras chicas participaron en distintas modalidades: individual, relevos, sprint y superesprint demostrando coraje y talento e incluso logrando medallas en un multitudinario evento celebrado en los alrededores de la Playa de Poniente.

El mérito deportivo de las chicas fue grande al enfrentarse con valor a las pruebas de natación y carrera compitiendo contra atletas bien entrenadas para ello.

A esto hay que añadir que en nuestra disciplina las chicas usaron sus BTTs contra bicis de carretera cuyas prestaciones en estas circunstancias son incomparablemente superiores. Así que enhorabuena; bravo por vosotras, chicas.

Al mismo tiempo Una a Una inauguraba su nuevo stand y lo hacía con un proyecto de cooperación con la ONG Maiti Nepal, una organización que lucha contra el tráfico de niños y niñas nepalíes víctimas de la miseria y de la esclavitud sexual.

Con la venta de productos artesanos elaborados en Una a Una (pulseras, pinturas…) se ha recaudado dinero y difundido un mensaje de concienciación que debe ayudar a erradicar una de las lacras más indignas que amenaza a la infancia del tercer mundo.

Esta misma semana, encabezadas por Rosa Fernández, varias integrantes de nuestro club saldrán para Nepal en un nuevo desafío deportivo que tendrá también su vertiente solidaria culminada con la entrega a los responsables de Maiti Nepal del dinero recaudado en los varios actos y conferencias celebrados en las últimas semanas.

Desde Una a Una queremos dar las gracias a todos y todas los que habéis colaborado en dichos eventos aportando tiempo, trabajo o dinero para esta causa.
