Subida a El Estoupo

Espectacular  y bellísima ruta la preparada por Puri en tierras valdesanas combinando potentes y largas subidas con bajadas técnicas y divertidas, terreno duro y pedregoso con praderías y pistas de suelo húmedo.

Tras desayunar en Cadavedo nos dirigimos a San Pedro de Paredes donde a eso de las 11 de la mañana comenzamos a pedalear. Nada más arrancar nos enfrentamos a las primeras rampas duras del día que nos izaban a Aristébano donde hicimos una primera parada para rendir visita a la célebre capilla sede de la Boda Vaqueira.

A continuación subimos primero por una carretera local y luego por pistas forestales hasta la base del pico Estoupo, techo de la etapa de hoy. La subida al Estoupo es una delicia, manteniendo una exigencia técnica que por momentos bordea la línea de lo inciclable pero sin superarla permitiéndonos llegar sobre la bici hasta la misma cima.

Una parada para tomar un bocado y reponer fuerzas da pie al plato fuerte del día: la supertécnica bajada del Estoupo hasta el valle de Buseco. Piedras y escalones de buen tamaño pusieron a prueba nuestra pericia y nuestras máquinas durante interminables kilómetros hasta que a la altura de Cercenadas tocó subir de nuevo.

Un tramo de carretera extremadamente pendiente fue el preludio de nuevas pistas por las que acceder a las cresterías que rodean Busindre. Desde aquí ya solo quedaría una larga y trepidante bajada por pista franca que invita a la velocidad para regresar a San Pedro de Paredes con el trabajo hecho y bien hecho.

La de hoy fue una ruta de una belleza singular en el poco explorado por Una a Una noroccidente. Rodamos por bosques autóctonos hermosísimos y ganamos unas vistas espectaculares en la cima del Estoupo, bajamos a valles umbríos llenando las ruedas de barro para volver a remontar hasta los áridos y ventosos altos de la sierra de Riopinoso. En definitiva, un lujo y un placer cocinado y servido por Puri para disfrute de las Una a Una.
