Hoy hemos regresado a los espectaculares parajes de Tiñana y a disfrutar de la perfecta organización y hospitalidad de Mariajo.
Ruta circular: Tiñana – La Grandota – Monte del Rey – Tiñana (20/9/2015)
Longitud: 33 km / Tiempo: 4:30 h (con paradas) / Desnivel positivo acumulado: 1050 m
Ruter@s: Mariajo, Puri, Noelia, Azu, Vanesa, Javi, Rubén y Félix
A las 10 de la mañana dábamos las primeras pedaladas zigzagueando por Tiñana. Rodando por asfalto pronto pasamos por Limanes y pasamos a afrontar las durísimas rampas de la Cuesta del Caleyo. Alcanzamos La Cruz de los Campos y rodando por un paraje boscoso espectacular tomamos rumbo a la Grandota combinando terrenos duros y pedregosos con algunos pasos húmedos. Tomamos una bajada radical que entre robles y castaños centenarios nos baja hasta Mieres de Limanes. Estamos de regreso en los alrededores del punto de partida completado aproximadamente un tercio de la ruta.
Nos espera ahora una nueva subida de pendiente extrema que nos aúpa hasta los depósitos de agua. El calor aprieta y los desniveles pasan factura a las piernas. Tras unos kilómetros de cresteo giramos a la izquierda por el Monte del Rey y hacemos una parada para saludar a un rebaño de entrañables borricos que allí viven. Seguimos ganando altura y a la vez perdiendo la protectora sombra de los bosques de la comarca. En algún momento nada fácil de determinar cruzamos los límites con los concejos de Oviedo y de Noreña. La capital aparece y desaparece de nuestra vista durante toda la mañana.
Llegamos a Santa Marina e iniciamos la tercera y última subida del día combinando tramos de asfalto, de pista y de cemento rugoso que se agarra como un demonio a nuestros tacos. Avistamos Ricabá y la pendiente suaviza momentáneamente. Apenas recuperado el resuello la pista nos exige otra vez el máximo desarrollo hasta llegar a La Pasera. Un nuevo descansillo y una nueva rampa cruel hasta que al fin ganamos el Alto de la Mesa, así llamado por la solitaria mesa de madera que allí campea y que tantas veces nos ha ofrecido un respiro, generalmente culinario, antes del descenso definitivo.
Tomamos un bocado y apuradas por el intenso sol nos lanzamos a una bajada frenética. Profundos rodales, piedras sueltas de gran tamaño y algún barrizal nos tienen entretenidas hasta llegar a La Paranza. Los pasos técnicos se suceden pero de nuevo llegamos sin contratiempos a Santa Marina donde tomamos la Senda del Jabalí que nos deja en la carretera que baja a Tiñana. Hermosa ruta para un día especial, víspera de San Mateo, llena de sorpresas y paisajes de ensueño. Tortilla, pollo al ajillo y fermentado de cebada pusieron el broche de oro a otro domingo perfecto en Una a Una.
